The Friends of the Grant County Library Foundation depends on the community for members and support.
Projects: Friends of the Grant County Library Foundation help with Library projects throughout the year including: – The Perpetual Book Sale —Friends of Grant County Used Book Cafe and Grant County Gives.
The Friends of the Grant County Library Foundation have recently created a Lifetime Endowment for the Grant County Library through the Grant County Community Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and support from Grant County Gives donations and fundraising; the Library will benefit from this legacy for generations to come. If you would like to be a part of this legacy, donations or memorials are welcome. Monetary gifts may be directed to The Friends of the Grant County Library Foundation with a note or comment requesting that funds be added to the Lifetime Endowment.
Programs: The Friends help sponsor Library programs, including the Summer Reading Program, Summer Community Magic Show, Girl Power, Builder’s Club, Breakfast with Santa and Fall Concerts. The Friends also helped establish The Family Place Educational Play Area, Friends Used Book Cafe, and offer continued support for Library special needs.
Teen Scholarships: The Friends offer a teen scholarship program for young adults who are in high school. This volunteer program offers a scholarship reward for service hours at the library that can be earned throughout their high school career. An application and information about the program is available at the library.
