Certified Navigators will be present assisting consumers with marketplace questions. Navigators are trained, unbiased and certified to help you compare health insurance plans, assist you with the online application process and provide answers to you marketplace questions.
Getting 2017 coverage with a Special Enrollment Period
The annual Open Enrollment Period is over. You can now enroll in a 2017 insurance plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace only if you have a life event that qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period.
Changes that qualify for a Special Enrollment Period
If you have a baby, adopt a child, or place a child for foster care: Your coverage can start the day of the event- even if you enroll in the plan up to 60 days afterward.
If you get married, lose healthy coverage, move to a new state, or qualify for a Special Enrollment Period another way: Pick a plan by the last day of the month and your coverage can start the first day of the next month.
- Changes in your income that affect the coverage you qaualify for
- Gaining membership in a federally recognized tribe or status
- Leaving incarceration
- Change of dependancy status of someone one your plan
- Death of a covered member of your houseold
- Turning 26 or older and aging off your parent’s plan
